Short hair is quite comfortable.

...However, Colleen's probably going to be very, very disappointed.

So, Flagship has finally decided to give me a decent amount of hours. The catch? They've all been on call so I've had to drop everything and go if I want any sort of paycheck over 100 dollars. It's not as bad as I'm making it out to be, but knowing all the days I will end up working ahead of time would be nice.

Let's see, what have I been up to?
I saw Forgive Durden on Monday. They put on a really good live show, ending with the drum-line from "Il Tango...(song title's too long to type out)." The Human Flight Committee was there as well, and they put on as good of a show as they always have (and that's VERY good, in case you were wondering.) The bassist of FD was a really nice guy and he gave me some free stuff and we talked for a bit. It was overall a good night.

Yesterday I went out to dinner with Ms. Colleen and then ventured out to see the Omen. Other than the fact that I figuratively shit everywhere whenever there are 'jumpy' moments in any movie, I didn't find it very frightening. In fact, it was really terrible. I don't reccommend anyone going to see it. T'was a good night, though.

Today I have two dentist appointments. One was just a routine cleaning. In an hour I have to go to a consultation so they can find out how they're going to reconstruct the back of my mouth. A tooth grew in crooked and caved in the tooth in front of it, and then my wisdom tooth came in crooked behind it. Basically, you can't see it, but it's going to try to kill my mouth if we leave it alone. I'm more than a little frightened thinking about all the wonderful things they're going to have to do in there. And after that, it's another wonderful night aboard the S.S. Flagship.

Oh, and musically. It's been all AFI these days... and maybe some Gatsby... Forgive Durden and the Format can come too...

And Sadly I Haven't Abandoned This Thing.

Current Music: Broken Social Scene - Ibi Dreams of Pavement (A Better Day)
Yes, the rumors are true, my freshman year of college has been over for a few weeks. I got myself a 3.25 grade average, which I'm assuming is decent considering all my grades were somewhere between a B... and a B. It was an overall bumpy year, what with roommate issues (that I caused,)and a break-up. Of course it all tied together in a storybook way with friends still being friends, and a Bob and Colleen reunion (complete with improvement.)

Though I have been sitting on my arse a good deal of time, I have done the following since moving home from the University:

*Attended a Boys Night Out show (I'm a sucker for their catchy jams about murdering the ladies. Everyone has a weakness)
*Bought tickets for the famous/infamous LIFETIME reunion tour.
*Began watching more movies than humanly possible (as customary with summer)
*Started my daily running again
*Celebrated yet another birthday
*Began reviewing CD's, with the Lawrence Arms' Oh! Calcutta! and Lifetime's Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey being my first targets
*Spent an evening with Mr. David King, whom I have not seen for altogether too long
*Actually used my account on absolutepunk.net (pathetic, maybe, but it makes my list longer)
*Made plans to play some music with the incomparable duo of Puli Cheng and Ryan Armstrong (as well as other selected individuals)
*Failed to get a job at both Bullmoose Music and American Eagle Outfitters because they don't want people "just for the summer"
*Re-started my minimally paid job at Flagship Cinemas
*Improved the quality of my relationship
*Somehow lost weight. I do believe some cake is in order to keep that from continuing
*Written in this goddamn thing again.

The list turned out a bit bigger (but more padded) than I intended, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles (yes, I enjoy bringing back old catch phrases that seemingly have vacated human vocabulary.) Until I feel the need to write again, goodbye.

~Bob

Once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with 6 weird facts / things / habits about yourself. In the end you need to choose people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.

1) I cannot formulate speech worth a damn (anyone that's heard me talk knows this)
2) I'm insanely obsessed with music, almost to the point where it interferes with the rest of my life.
3) Though people sometimes mistake me for a worry wart, I am often as carefree as all hell
4) Once, about 3 years ago, my house flooded while my family and I were on vacation and we had to live in a hotel for 3 months (and drive to school 2 towns over for one of them)
5) Nobody can figure out what color eyes I have. We've determined that they MAY be some sort of grey/blue/nothing hybrid, but there's no definite answer as of yet.
6) People often peg me as underconfident, but sometimes I can be the biggest narcissist possible, and I hate that quality in me.

My mood changes more often than ever, but as of now, I've decided that I will not take this lying down and I will keep my life up until I am taken care of, and then I will forge on as a complete guy again.
